i am wearing a bright red indian out fit this weekend to a part and on the neckline and borders it had silver detail. what makeup should i do?? its either bright lips (bearing in mind my lips arent the fullest) or dramatic eyes (theyre not that big either)
ps i have lots of mac!!!Bright red outfit, what makeup???
Try to wear ';earthy'; colors...apply a tan color on the bottom of your top lid, above that, try a slightly darker brown, and on the top, underneath your brow, apply white. Blend it in so that it's not noticeable between each color. It would look pretty if the eyeshadow is shimmery. I use earthy colors when wearing red. As far as lip wear, try an ';earthy'; toned gloss. But you want to go subtle, not a bold gloss. Make sure that has shimmer in it too.Bright red outfit, what makeup???
If this is going to be a classy event, stay away from trashy makeup. You don't say what your coloring is - fair, dark, olive...that matters a lot.
Don't overdo both eyes and lips. Decide which one you'd like to play up and stick to it. Let's say you want to do a lightly smokey eye. Pick a crayon type shadow or shadow liner - they're very versatile.
Line your upper lid only with it, then smudge it up a bit into the crease - might want to practice this before hand.
At one time, L'Oreal made a smudge pencil - which I love but haven't looked for to purchase in a while if you find that, use it - a lovely smokey look.
Additionally, use a smallt amount of a light color, a cream or something complimentary to your skin tone on the brow bone to bring out the smoke look. Again, practice.
Leave your cheeks tinged slightly pinky but not really blushed up...more natural. Use a light gloss on your lips. You'll look sulty with the smokey eye and light lips.
Also with your hair - don't overdo it or the sexiness or the red dress will be overdone by too much hair and makeup. Let your beauty shine through.
There's nothing like a red dress to make a woman feel sexy - enjoy the night!!
Well if you want red lips use lipliner, its my weapon. My top lip isnt the greatest so i go over my lips with powder after exfoliating them (you can do this with a damp flannel) and then draw over the lip line, not too much, just enough to get a fuller, natural look. I fill in my lips with liner then the lipstick. For eyes I would use white kohl on the inner lids to make them look wider and layer the top lashes with a good mascara for a fluttery look. I use Rimmel Volume Flash waterproof, i think its the best mascarra.
I haven't read other people's answer so might be same as someone else but i'd say matching lips to the colour of the dress and if u want gloss something clear, possibly glittery. Keep eyes natural, lashes black with black liquid eyeliner to make them look a little thicker and a thin line of silver glitter along the top of the liner (highly recommend barry M dazzle dust)

I think simple red lips to match the dress (u can paint them in so they look fuller) and then a slick line with a flick of black liquid eyeliner, black pencil eyeliner on the waterline to frame your eyes....maybe some silver dazzal dust LIGHTLY under your eye to match the silver detail on the outfit and lots of black mascara.
Hi, Use natural colours ,maybe some lipliner to get fuller lips but not bright colours just a shiny hint. Your eyes it depends on your eye colour but a light natural shade is always safe. Don't do anything dramatic, your dress will do that.
good luck and have fun

i would do very dramatic eyes. maybe a dark smoky eye with a cattail swoop at the end of the top lid.. like cleopatra. very retro. and either keep dramatic eyes with a nude gloss or semi dramatic eye with nice red lipstick. in coordination to your red dress pick a red that would match it.. deep or bright. hope i helped!! :)
Neutral yet dramatic, I'd suggest dark shades of brown and plums and black eyeliner, as it will suit both your outfit and your skin tone :] enjoy x
DRAMATIC EYES
mild silver shadow for your eyes , light pink for your lips and lip liner
Eyes! earthy tones...
smokey black/silver eyes
